Ella Campbell is a dance artist, choreographer, and dance educator, currently working on her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Performance at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. She has trained in many styles of dance, including ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, Hip Hop, and tap, as well as some somatic practices. She has experience with dancing for live audiences, as well as for film.

artist's statement

As a choreographer, Ella aims to center her work around incorporating elements of classical, technical movement into post-modern and contemporary works. Her process is drawn from a combination of personal improvisational exploration, elements from classical ballet and modern techniques, and emotional expression that can be interpreted to one’s own self through shared human experiences. She seeks to create work that speaks to development of a sense of community. She wants her work to affect all viewers, despite differences in age, religion, socioeconomic status, or cultural background, by creating meaningful experiences to deepen connection with each other through a shared sense of humanity.
